A Tribute to Mr. Milton M. Miles
Oct 2, 1921 - Dec 16, 2003

Due to his devotion and hard work, Mr. Milton Miles has to be remembered as an inspiration to us all. When he first started training with us back in November 23, 1981 we all thought he would drop out of class due to his age. Little did we realize we were all wrong. He never missed a class and was always on time. As time went on not only was he able to keep up with the students, but the ones that were four decades younger then him warrant able to keep up with him. He won first place trophies in all the tournaments that he competed in the Ying Yee Tournament, Urban Cup Tournament, the Empire States Karate Championships and the Eastern United States Kung-Fu Championships. Mr. Milton Miles, I now know that I can continue to practice kung-fu into my later years just as you did. As your teacher I will never forget you. As long as I teach my students they will never forget you either and the new students will know about you. Rest in peace my brother. It was a gratifying pleasure knowing your spirit here on earth. Until we meet again, your friend and teacher Angel Giboyeaux.
