In the Fu-Jow System, we practice the four count elbow strikes in a horse stance as an exercise. The power of the strikes depends on the movement of the body, as well as, the looseness of the shoulder joint, (Glenoid Cavity). Rotation of the shoulder requires consistent training to maintain ease in maneuverability while applying the elbow strike. When loose, the power can be transmitted with a minimum loss of energy from the origin to the point of impact. |
